Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is set to attend the prestigious MIPIM 2024 event in Cannes, France, from March 12 to March 15. The global urban festival, also known as le marché international des professionnels de l’immobilier, serves as a platform for professionals from various sectors to converge and discuss urban development and real estate opportunities worldwide.

Joining the premier are representatives from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Relations Department, which has curated an exhibition titled “THAILAND UNVEILED: Harmonizing Livability for Life – Why Thailand.” The presentation is designed to demonstrate Thailand’s appealing aspects as a livable country, making it an attractive option for investors. This marks the first occasion that the Public Relations Department (PRD) will take part in such a high-caliber event as MIPIM, with the goal of drawing global attention to Thailand’s strategic locations, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Chonburi, and Rayong.

The exhibition will use multimedia to highlight Thailand’s unique charm and sophistication, aiming to build confidence among government and corporate leaders from countries such as the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.

Srettha, on March 12, is slated to give a speech addressing the theme “Better infrastructure in an age of risk, scarcity, and emergency” and conduct a courtesy visit to President Emmanuel Macron of France. The Thai prime minister is also scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with prominent business leaders and executives from leading global companies. (NNT)
