The Meteorological Department of Thailand has issued warnings as scorching temperatures grip various parts of the country. With the upper regions experiencing intense heat, authorities are advising citizens to prioritize their health and safety during this period. While some areas in the lower northeastern, central, and eastern regions (including Pattaya City) are witnessing scattered thunderstorms, the prevailing weather pattern across much of Thailand remains characterized by high temperatures.

Over the next 24 hours, the forecast predicts continued hot and partly cloudy conditions, particularly in the northern parts of the country. Low-pressure systems attributed to the heat wave are contributing to the extreme temperatures, prompting concerns among health officials. Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Moreover, the influence of southwesterly and southeasterly winds from the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea is contributing to the formation of scattered thunderstorms in the lower eastern, central, and northeastern regions. Conversely, similar wind patterns over the Gulf of Thailand, southern Thailand, and the Andaman Sea are leading to scattered thunderstorms in the southern parts of the country.

In Bangkok and its surrounding areas, residents are advised to brace for hot and partly cloudy weather conditions during the daytime. Despite a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms, temperatures are expected to range between 28-29 degrees Celsius for the minimum and 35-38 degrees Celsius for the maximum.

As the nation grapples with this heat wave, authorities are emphasizing the importance of staying informed about weather updates and adhering to safety guidelines to mitigate any adverse effects of the extreme weather conditions.
