A Turkish man lost 70,000 baht after being drugged and robbed by a prostitute he brought back to his Pattaya hotel room.
A woozy Ethem Kabak, 45, called police to his room around 1 a.m. March 17, telling them he’d hired a streetwalker from Walking Street for 2,500 baht to stay with him overnight.
On the way back, she purchased sweets and ice cream, which they shared in his hotel. She got up to take a shower and he soon passed out.
He woke up and checked his safe, which was open, and discovered that 2,500 baht, 500 euros, and a 1,500-euro gold chain were gone.
He contacted security at the Sabai Wing Hotel on Soi 1, which told police the prostitute had used the identification card of Anyamanee Chueykraduang, 28, of Udon Thani to register.
Security camera footage was available and police were able to get a good image of the suspect.
