The Meteorological Department of Thailand has issued warnings as intense heat and haze shroud the country’s upper regions, particularly during midday hours. The department advises citizens to refrain from prolonged outdoor activities to mitigate health risks associated with the scorching temperatures and haze.

In the Bangkok Metropolitan Region and its outskirts, the weather remains hot with sporadic thunderstorms, affecting approximately 10% of the area. With temperatures ranging between 28 to 41 degrees Celsius, residents are urged to take necessary precautions to stay safe amidst the extreme weather conditions.

Moreover, the Meteorological Department forecasts low pressure due to the prevailing heat, resulting in widespread intense heat and haze across the upper regions of Thailand. This phenomenon is expected to persist, necessitating continued vigilance from the public.

Additionally, southern and southeastern winds continue to sweep across Thailand, the Gulf of Thailand, and the Andaman Sea, leading to scattered thunderstorms and strong winds in certain areas. Residents are advised to exercise caution, especially avoiding open spaces, large trees, and weak structures during these weather events.

Farmers are also encouraged to prepare and protect their crops and livestock from potential damage caused by the adverse weather conditions.

As Thailand grapples with this prolonged spell of intense heat and haze, authorities urge citizens to prioritize their health and safety by heeding weather advisories and taking necessary precautions.
