Events

The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, April 26, with Acorn Partners discussing Wealth Management. The meeting scheduled for Sunday the 19th has been cancelled due to Songkran festivities in Pattaya. The Club meets at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) holds Luncheon and Coffee Mornings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month respectively at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. The Bangkok Chess Club Open 2015 is taking place from 12-19 April in the ballroom of the Dusit Thani Pattaya hotel. A ‘Karnival at the Cliff’ charity fund-raising dinner and evening of entertainment will be held at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on Saturday, April 25 from 18.30 onwards. Wonder Sound Thailand has a great line-up of bands and DJs to keep you entertained during the water festival on Wan-Lai Day in Pattaya, Sunday, April 19. Performances will take place from 12 Noon till 8 p.m. on Pattaya Beach Rd. opposite Soi 7.

The Alangkarn Lantern Festival is currently being held from April 1- May 31, 2015. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone.
