The Thai delegation led by Mr. Songchai Chaipatiyut, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs of Thailand had an informal meeting with the Myanmar delegation led by Mr. Thein Min Htun, Deputy Director-General of Consular and Legal Affairs Department in Nay Pyi Taw on 11-12 June 2024.
The informal meeting discussed issues relating to the upgrading of Singkorn-Maw Taung Border Check Point into the International Point of Entry. Both sides provided clarification and exchanged views on the way forward to upgrade the Singkorn-Maw Taung Border Check Point into an international point of entry which will be beneficial to both sides.
Both sides will continue the discussion at the next informal meeting to be convened soon. (MFA)
