The long-time assistant to Austria’s honorary consul general for Pattaya has been promoted to honorary vice consul for Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard.
Sriwanna Jitprasert was recommended for the promotion by Mr. Rudolf Hofer, the honorary consul-general of Austria.
The ceremony was conducted by Ambassador Enno Drofenik in presence of his wife Juri Segiguchi-Drofenik, Austrian embassy’s consul Wolfgang Gmasz and honorary consul-general Rudolf Hofer.
The promotion was signed in February 2015 by Austrian president Heinz Fischer and foreign minister Sebastian Kurz and was forwarded to the government in Thailand and, after several weeks, accredited.

In a short speech, HE ambassador Drofenik thanked the new honorary vice-consul for her good work and expressed his hopes that she will continue this good work for the good of Austria and its citizens in Pattaya and the East Coast.
