The Thai Paralympic team has secured 69 spots in 13 sports for the upcoming 17th Paralympic Games in Paris, France. The Prime Minister has expressed confidence in the athletes’ potential to excel in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin praised the Thai Paralympic team for their achievements. Government Spokesperson Chai Wacharonke announced that the Prime Minister lauded the athletes’ qualification for the Paralympic Games, which are scheduled from August 28th to September 8th. Currently, 69 Thai athletes have secured their places, with the possibility of more qualifications by mid-July.
The qualified athletes span various sports, including archery, athletics, wheelchair racing, badminton, boccia, cycling, canoeing, rowing, wheelchair fencing, powerlifting, shooting, swimming, table tennis, and taekwondo.
The Prime Minister also encouraged the public to support the athletes as they represent Thailand. He wished them success and expressed hope that they bring pride to the nation by winning medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. (NNT)
