SURAT THANI, 24 April 2015 – Koh Samui Municipality is to hold “the 9th Lamai Fishing Games 2015” during 8-10 May 2015 at the Fisheries Hall of Ban Lamai Community.
The Mayor of Koh Samui Municipality said that the event aims to draw interest from Thai and foreign tourists who love fishing, adding a new attraction to the island. It is also hoped that Koh Samui will be developed into an international Fishing Park.
The 9th Lamai Fishing Games 2015 will take place in the sea surrounding Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan, Koh Tao and Angthong Islands in Surat Thani. The list of winner and runners-up will be announced on May 10, the same day with the award presentation ceremony, according to the mayor.
