Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin conducted official duties in Chiang Rai province, focusing on a range of regional issues, including water management, local development, and security.
The prime minister’s day began at the Than Tawan Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Phan district, where he discussed water management strategies to address flooding and drought and ensure an adequate water supply. During this visit, he also met with members of the local community.
Srettha then visited Thoeng Wittayakhom School in Thoeng district to explore the Youth Learning Area and Community Enterprises. The visit included interactions with local youths and residents, emphasizing the government’s commitment to nurturing community-driven initiatives.
In the afternoon, the premier assessed the irrigation systems along the Mekong River at the Peacekeeping Unit in Chiang Saen district. Following this, the prime minister chaired a strategic meeting at the same location and discussed various issues, including drug problems, security, border trade, agriculture, tourism, and water management.
Srettha’s visit concluded at the Chiang Rai Night Market, where he interacted with vendors and patrons. (NNT)
