BANGKOK, 26 April 2015 – The spokesman of the Constitution Drafting Committee has assured that the draft charter has not been written in such a way that it will go against politicians.

CDC spokesman Wanchai Sornsiri said that the charter drafters have not been working to serve any particular group of power as some politicians have claimed.

Mr. Wanchai stated that the draft charter has been written to serve the people and not to go against any politicians or political groups.

However, he said that corrupt politicians should feel threatened by the current draft of the Constitution, as it contains a provision that is aimed at wiping out corruption.

Concerning some skepticism about the draft charter, Mr. Wanchai said that the National Reform Council will work on it to clarify any doubts.

He went on to say that the new Constitution will be the best Thailand has ever seen as it has given focus to the interest of the people.
