The National Innovation Agency (NIA) has unveiled its strategy to transform Thailand into a nation of innovations under the concept “Groom – Grant – Growth – Global”.

NIA Executive Director Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng said this strategy aims to strengthen Thailand’s innovation ecosystem through financial support, entrepreneur development, infrastructure access, and digital adaptation, driving sustainable economic and social outcomes.

She added that, as the “Focal Conductor,” NIA underlines five objectives: develop platforms for Innovation-Based Enterprises, cultivate innovators via NIA Academy, strengthen Thailand’s innovation ecosystem, improve the nation’s Global Innovation Index ranking, and boost NIA’s role in economic and social progress.

Over the past year, NIA has enhanced its innovation capabilities through the NIA Academy. NIA also emphasizes data-driven innovation via its very own data collection platform, “Thailand Innovation Portal”.

Additionally, NIA is upgrading financial support mechanisms to meet investor demands. The agency has funded 319 regional innovation projects with 566.88 million baht. (NNT)
