‘Cosplay Art Festival 2024’ features exhibitions, character design, and new gaming technologies

Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Culture, stated that the Ministry is actively pushing the gaming industry to become a significant soft power.

This industry is seen as capable of generating revenue, stimulating the economy, and enhancing Thailand’s global image. This initiative aligns with the policy of the National Soft Power Strategy Committee under the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA). The gaming industry, known for its rapid growth and high potential, is a key driver of economic contribution.

The festival will feature cosplay competitions, exhibitions, character design, and new gaming technologies. Additionally, there will be panel discussions and workshops led by industry experts. This initiative offers an excellent opportunity for Thai cosplayers to demonstrate their artistic and creative capabilities. It aims to foster a connection between the gaming and tourism industries, thereby enhancing Thailand’s image and generating revenue.

Cosplay Art Festival 2024 is scheduled to be held from July 19th-21st at True Icon Hall, ICONSIAM, Bangkok. (NNT)
