Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a public talk on “Positioning Thailand on the global radar screen: IPEF, OECD and BRICS”, welcoming open discussions and exchanging views on IPEF, OECD and BRICS frameworks with more than 50 academics as well as Thai and foreign media, with Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, DG. of the Dept. of Information, delivered an opening remarks on 30 July 2024.



The panelists comprised of (1) Mrs. Salinee Phonprapai, DDG. of Dept. of International Economic Affairs (2) Ms. Jaithai Upakarnitikaset, DDG. of Dept. of American and South Pacific Affairs (3) Dr. Nilsuwan Leelarasamee, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Trade Regulations and Multilateralism and (4) Associate Professor Dr. Jittipat Poonkham, Associate Dean for Academic & International Affairs, Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, and Dr. Wit Sittivaekin as moderator.



The patipants had frutiful and open discussions and opinions on what Thailand has been doing, and also proposals on the future actions, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would take all views for further consideration. (MFA)
