Nick ‘Elvis’ Shaw showed considerable prowess on the course and super fast greens of Green Valley to notch a man of the match 38 points. Nick was one stroke clear of Aussie star Nick Odnoral while Co. Offaly gang man Matt Doyle rounded out the flight with a count-back verdict over Peter ‘the silver surfer’ Henshaw, Adam Barton, Jimmy ‘two shots’ Elphick and Peter ‘the right honourable’ LeNoury, all locked on 34 points.
Nick Shaw made it a day to remember as he slotted home the only ‘2’ of the day.
Tuesday, April 28, Burapha A & B – Stableford
1st Martin Allard (24) 44pts
2nd Mick McMahon (13) 35pts
3rd Jim Proctor (18) 34pts
4th Rod Brown (16) 34pts
5th Mark Williams (16) 33pts
Martin Allard was the story of the day at Burapha, playing the A and B layouts, as he racked up a sparkling 44 points, the highlight of which was an eagle on the stoke index one sixteenth hole. His man of the match performance also earned him a trip to the handicap sectary.

Martin was nine strokes clear of Mick McMahon while Jim Proctor had the better of a count back over Rod Brown for third, both on 34 points. Mark Williams tided up the flight a further stroke back.
Wednesday, April 29, Greenwood C & A – Stableford
1st Floyd Briney (26) 36pts
2nd Rod Brown (16) 33pts
3rd Peter Henshaw (21) 33pts
Many deep fairway bunkers and heavy rough make Greenwood a very challenging course as the scores would indicate. The top score of the day was an even par round by Floyd Briney. The minor flight spots were decided on a count back as both rod Brown and Peter ‘the silver surfer’ Henshaw were tied on 33 points, the scales of justice falling in Rod’s Favour and gave him his second pay window visit this week.
