BANGKOK, Thailand – Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at a paint and thinner factory in Bang Khun Thian late night of August 24. The fire has been brought under control, and no injuries or fatalities have been reported.

At around 00:50 AM, a fire erupted at the located at Soi Bang Kradi 8, Bang Kradi Road, Sam Dam Sub-district, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok. The fire affected three adjacent warehouses that housed numerous paint and thinner containers.



The blaze was intense and spread rapidly, with intermittent explosions due to the presence of highly flammable chemicals. Thick black smoke billowed into the sky. Firefighters used dozens of fire trucks to extinguish the flames and prevent further spread. By approximately 04:00 AM, firefighters reported that the fire had been brought under control. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still under investigation by the forensic evidence team and the Samae Dam Police Station.

Wirat, a security guard at the factory, reported that the fire started around 00:30 AM. While performing his duties inside the factory, he heard continuous explosions and saw a wide area engulfed in flames. He escaped from the factory and alerted the authorities for assistance. (TNA)
