Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced that the Cambodian government plans to allocate over 200 million USD (approximately 6.72 billion baht) for the construction of a “Border Ring Road,” aiming to complete the project within the next 10 years.

According to Hun Manet, about 1,300 kilometers of the border ring road have already been constructed, which accounts for roughly 50% of the total planned length. The remaining sections are expected to be finished over the next decade.

On August 26, Prime Minister Hun Manet launched the Border Infrastructure Development Fund (BIDF), with the goal of raising additional funds to improve infrastructure along Cambodia’s borders, focusing primarily on the construction of the border ring road.

Nearly 400,000 citizens have contributed to the fund, and donations continue to pour in. Hun Manet expressed gratitude to his fellow Cambodians for their strong support of this important initiative.
