BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has called on all agencies to intensify assistance efforts and lessen the impact of ongoing flooding on the public. Speaking at a meeting on Sep 15 at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), he discussed the current flood situation in collaboration with provincial governors and relevant agencies managing relief operations.

The virtual meeting provided updates from flood-affected provinces, including Chiang Rai, Loei, Nong Khai, Ubon Ratchathani, and Ayutthaya. Key agencies, including the DDPM and the Meteorological Department, delivered reports on the current conditions, relief activities, and water level forecasts.



Anutin reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring normalcy in the affected regions as quickly as possible. He highlighted the strong collaboration between government bodies, private organizations, and other stakeholders in delivering aid to those in need.

According to the Interior Minister, the meeting ensured that all units involved in relief and recovery operations could effectively coordinate work with one another to reduce the overall impact of the floods. (NNT)
