‘Wellness on a Plate’ to promote Thailand’s culinary heritage and associated health benefits

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has introduced a new campaign, “Wellness on a Plate,” to promote Thailand’s culinary heritage and associated health benefits. Tourists are invited to explore various wellness-themed routes, offering a fresh perspective on Thai cuisine by integrating traditional ingredients and holistic practices.

As part of the campaign, six wellness concepts have been designed to enhance the tourist experience. These include “Taste of Wellness,” which combines local herbs with activities like Thai massage and yoga, and “Thai Botanical Delights,” where visitors can engage in the entire process of herb production, from harvesting to cooking. Other concepts, such as “Eat Well, Live Well” and “Thai Superfood Wellness,” focus on Thai traditional food’s and organic superfoods’ health benefits.



The campaign also highlights the importance of sustainable and innovative dining experiences. Concepts such as “Fresh from Farm to Table” and “Future of Thai Food” allow visitors to participate in organic farming and explore modern interpretations of Thai cuisine.

TAT has also partnered with destination management companies and the Thai Ecotourism and Adventure Travel Association to create ten wellness-themed travel routes as part of a broader effort to offer meaningful and health-focused travel experiences. (NNT)
