BANGKOK, Thailand – The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) plans to involve police forensic experts in investigating the case of a female teacher whose name disappeared from a top position in official recruitment results, Sep 20.
The OBEC announced the decision to postpone a scheduled press conference on the investigation’s findings. The delay aims to allow for a more thorough and transparent process.
OBEC has already completed our internal investigation within the seven-day deadline. However, to ensure transparency and fairness, it will invite the Police Forensic Science Office to participate in the examination.
The case involves a teacher who initially ranked first in a government employee recruitment exam but later found her name missing from the official announcement.
The Ministry of Education will also establish a separate committee of credible individuals to conduct an additional review.
Once the external investigations are complete, OBEC plans to hold a comprehensive press conference. The event will include the affected teacher along with police forensic officials and other relevant parties.
This approach will not only provide clarity on this specific case but also set a standard for handling similar incidents in the future, he added. (TNA)
