BANGKOK, Thailand – TK Park, in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland and the Swiss Cultural Fund, is hosting a special screening of the acclaimed Swiss film “Tambour Battant” as part of the Contemporary World Film Series 2024. The event takes place on October 12 at the Learning Auditorium in CentralWorld, with the screening beginning at 4:00 p.m. The film will be introduced by the Swiss Ambassador to Thailand, Pedro Zwahlen, and a post-screening reception will offer refreshments provided by the embassy.
Directed by François-Christophe Marzal, Tambour Battant is a French-language social comedy set in a fictional Swiss town in the canton of Valais during the 1970s. The film weaves together themes of music, family, politics, and gender equality against the backdrop of a fierce rivalry between two brass bands vying for a spot in the prestigious Federal Music Fair.
