Temporary route adjustments for northern train services due to severe flooding in Chiang Mai

To ensure passenger safety, the following adjustments are in place from October 5, until further notice.

THAI TRAVEL NEWS: Temporary Route Adjustments for Northern Train Services

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is making temporary changes to 12 northern train services due to severe flooding in Chiang Mai. To ensure passenger safety, the following adjustments are in place from October 5, until further notice:

Route Changes:

  • Special Express Trains No. 7/8, 9/10, 13/14
  • Express Trains No. 51/52
  • Rapid Trains No. 109/102

These services will now operate between Krung Thep Aphiwat and Nakhon Lampang instead of Chiang Mai.

Local Trains No. 407/408

This route will now operate between Nakhon Sawan and Nakhon Lampang.



Shuttle Bus Service:

Passengers traveling between Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Nakhon Lampang can use our complimentary shuttle bus services arranged by SRT. Staff are available to assist at key stations.
