BANGKOK, Thailand – The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain in the northern, central, and southern regions of Thailand, advising residents to be cautious of flash floods and landslides. Meanwhile, cooler morning temperatures are expected in the northeastern region.

A moderate high-pressure system from China is affecting the eastern areas of the north, central, and northeastern regions, as well as the South China Sea. This pattern will bring cooler morning temperatures and slight rainfall to the northeast. Simultaneously, southeasterly winds are moving across the western part of the north and the upper central region, while the monsoon trough shifts over the upper south, bringing heavy rainfall to parts of the north, central, and southern regions.

The department urges people in these areas, particularly those in low-lying regions, near mountain slopes, and waterways, to be on high alert for possible flash floods and landslides. Additionally, residents are advised to take care of their health due to changing weather conditions.

In the Gulf of Thailand, waves are expected to reach 1 meter, with heights exceeding 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms. The department also advises vessels in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to navigate carefully and avoid areas with thunderstorms.
