CHIANG MAI, Thailand – A heartwarming rescue operation was carried out by the Chiang Mai police as they helped a 104-year-old grandfather, a bedridden patient, escape his home, which was flooded to dangerous levels.

On October 6, the Provincial Police Region 5 reported on their mission to assist flood-affected residents in Chiang Mai. Earlier that morning, Pol. Col. Prachya Tisala, Chief of the Chiang Mai City Police Station, received a call from concerned citizens in the area around the Night Bazaar market on Chang Klan Road, informing him about an elderly man trapped on the second floor of his house.

In response, Pol. Col. Tisala ordered a rapid response team from the Chiang Mai City Police Station to conduct an urgent rescue operation using a boat to reach the stranded individual. Given the high floodwaters, the team planned and executed the operation with great caution, carefully navigating their way to the grandfather’s location.

The rescue was successfully carried out, and the elderly man was safely transported from his home. He is currently being cared for at the Chiang Mai City Police Station, where he will await his relatives to come and take him to safety. (TNA)
