BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Governor Chakkaphan inspected the ongoing renovation of Saranrom Park in Phra Nakhon District, October 12. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Environmental Department initiated the project to address the deteriorating condition of park facilities and infrastructure, which have become unsafe for public use. The renovation began on September 26, and is expected to be completed by December 24.
The project focuses on:
-Repairing the sprinkler and fountain water systems.
-Installing new pipes for the sprinkler system and the central fountain.
-Repairing main electrical systems, including those for the sprinklers, multifunction fountain area, and the Queen Sunanda Memorial Fountain.
-Fixing electrical systems in various areas like the greenhouse, security post, ping pong court, and shrine.
-Reconstructing the gym and water pump station buildings.
-Inspecting and repairing the lighting and water systems across the park.
Deputy Governor Chakkaphan has instructed the Environmental Department to monitor the progress closely and ensure all necessary repairs and upgrades are made, including fixing damaged walking and jogging paths to ensure visitor safety. Temporary signs have been placed around the park to warn visitors to avoid construction areas. The goal is to complete the project efficiently and maximize the benefits for public use.
