BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Governor Jakkaphan visited the project site to oversee the landscape improvement initiative in front of the Thai Electricity Museum in Wat Liap, Phra Nakhon District on October 12. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is working on this project, focusing on the area in front of the Thai Electricity Museum along Chak Phet Road and extending to Tri Phet Road.
The Department of Environment is leading the renovation of King Prajadhipok Park, including refurbishing gates and fences, and planting additional trees around the park. The Phra Nakhon District Office is also tasked with finding new parking spaces for waste collection trucks and water trucks to replace the previous parking area in King Prajadhipok Park, which is being renovated.
Additionally, the Department of Traffic and Transportation will install new CCTV cameras, repaint curbs and crosswalks, while the Department of Public Works will improve sidewalks on Chak Phet and Tri Phet Roads. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority in the Wat Liap area is constructing the new Thai Electricity Museum and expanding the building near their Wat Liap office.
In light of these activities, the project aims to integrate efforts across various departments to improve the landscape and connectivity of the area. Deputy Governor Jakkaphan has instructed the departments involved—including the Environment, Public Works, and Traffic and Transportation departments, as well as the Phra Nakhon District Office—to coordinate with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority to improve the sidewalks, remove obstacles, and establish safe crosswalks. CCTV cameras will also be installed to ensure a seamless collaboration, aligning the work in both the Phra Nakhon and Thonburi areas to improve access and connectivity.
