NEW YORK – Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a grand return after a 6-year break, embracing a powerful theme of female empowerment. This year, the show featured a diverse lineup of three female artists of different ethnicities and skin tones, including Thailand’s very own Lisa Lalisa Manoban, also known as Lisa of BlackPink.
The 2024 show has been eagerly anticipated, and it did not disappoint. It also marked the comeback of supermodel legends like Tyra Banks, who returned to the Victoria’s Secret runway after 19 years, and Adriana Lima, who retired in 2018 but made a spectacular return this year.
This year’s all-female artist lineup included iconic performers like Cher, South African star Tylar, and Lisa, who represented Asian women on the runway. Lisa made a bold statement as she walked the pink carpet in a stunning, glamorous look, wearing a glittering bra with a star-embroidered cape that perfectly fit her Rockstar theme from her solo single.
The show opened with Lisa riding onto the runway on a motorcycle, performing her hit song Rockstar with unmatched energy. Gigi Hadid followed with a graceful walk, donning sweet pink wings. The night continued with performances by Tylar and Cher, with supermodel Kate Moss making a surprise appearance at age 50, joined by her 22-year-old daughter Lila, who made her debut on the runway.
After Tylar’s angelic performance of two songs, Lisa returned to the stage, now wearing a sultry black lace lingerie set with golden wings, turning heads with her striking performance of Moonlit Floor, which had the crowd roaring with excitement.
The show concluded with Cher delivering a powerful rendition of Believe, while the legendary Tyra Banks closed the runway with her first appearance in 19 years, receiving a thunderous ovation from the audience.
This year’s show stood out for its embrace of diversity, reflecting the global Woke movement’s emphasis on body types, skin tones, and ages. The runway featured models from various backgrounds, including older women, transgender models, and plus-size models, all of whom exuded their unique sexiness alongside professional models.
