The DDPM continues to work with all provinces to ensure the swift disbursement of funds.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has provided the latest updates on financial assistance for flood victims across 57 provinces following the Cabinet’s resolution. As of October 22, a total of 238,641 households affected by the floods have submitted requests for relief. The Government Savings Bank (GSB) has processed verified data for 64,732 households in 10 batches, amounting to 579.2 million baht, with successful transfers made to 45,827 households totaling 412.3 million baht.

On October 21, the 9th batch of transfers was disbursed to 3,207 households in Nong Khai province, amounting to 28.8 million baht. Today (Oct 22), the 10th batch of transfers is being made to 14,619 households in Sukhothai, Loei, Phrae, and Chiang Rai, totaling 131.5 million baht. The provinces with the highest number of requests include Chiang Mai, with 51,887 households, Chiang Rai, with 33,183 households, and Ayutthaya, with 29,337 households.



The DDPM continues to work with all provinces to ensure the swift disbursement of funds. Households that registered for assistance by October 16 are expected to receive their payments by October 31, as per the Prime Minister’s directive.
