Police Chief reviews iCON Group fraud case

BANGKOK, Thailand – National Police Chief Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet convened a meeting on Oct 22 at the Central Investigation Bureau to assess the ongoing investigation into The iCON Group case. The meeting discussed the potential issuance of additional arrest warrants for individuals linked to the network, following the arrest of 18 executives last week. Authorities are also evaluating whether additional charges will be pursued against the suspects.



Throughout the morning, victims of the fraudulent scheme continued to arrive at the Bureau’s complaint reception center, where approximately 50 individuals were issued queue numbers to formally lodge their complaints. Since October 10, a total of 6,979 victims have filed complaints at the Central Investigation Bureau and local police stations across the country.

The total financial damage reported by victims now exceeds 2.046 billion baht. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to gather evidence and fully determine the scope of fraudulent activities linked to The iCON Group.

The Royal Thai Police is expected to further provide an official update on the case, including the latest developments and any decisions regarding further legal proceedings. (NNT)
