BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok authorities have implemented a citywide network of AI-powered surveillance cameras, operating 24/7 to monitor and identify anyone riding on pedestrian sidewalks, Oct 25.
Those found driving or riding on sidewalks will be issued a ticket directly mailed to their homes, with fines reaching up to 5,000 baht. The initiative aims to enhance pedestrian safety and curb illegal sidewalk traffic across the city.
The city government is serious about enforcement, urging all residents to respect sidewalk rules as violators will be fined without exceptions.
