PRACHINBURI, Thailand – A chemical explosion at Xiao Xiang Non-Ferrous Metal Co., Ltd. in Prachinburi province on Oct 26 resulted in two deaths and injured 12 others. The explosion occurred in a chemical mixing tank at the factory, located within the Bor Thong Industrial Estate. The facility, which produces zinc, lead, and tin, employs 232 workers, including both local and foreign staff.

Authorities responded quickly to the incident, with Prachinburi Deputy Governor Chanathip Khokmanee leading the response team. The team included Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office personnel, emergency services, and local authorities. The injured, all foreign workers, have been transported to Kabin Buri Hospital for treatment, while the deceased were taken for autopsy.



The situation has since been brought under control, and officials are now focusing on determining the cause of the explosion. The factory remains under close observation to ensure site safety and prevent further incidents.
