South Korean city leaders visit Pattaya

City council members South Korea visited Pattaya to study how the city manages its tourism industry.

City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai and Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Deputy Director Akkarapol Thaweesuntorn welcomed the 10 council members from Ansan, a suburb of Seoul, to city hall May 29.

Led by Ansan Council Chairman Kim Jung Taek, the delegation exchanged experiences in city management with Pattaya’s leaders and discussed various topics, including economic growth and major attractions. They confirmed future visits and possible networking as well.

Ansan has a population of 761,000 (as of 2013) and is spread over 149 sq. kilometers.
