Heavy rain inundates Pattaya following two hours of intense rainfall, leading to significant waterlogging across multiple locations.

PATTAYA, Thailand Tuesday afternoon (Nov 5), heavy rains in Pattaya led to flooding in multiple areas, prompting temporary road closures to ensure safety. At around 4:00 PM, traffic was halted from Wat Tham intersection towards Khao Talo due to high water levels, which made the road impassable for vehicles. Likewise, a section of Pattaya Third Road near the ‘Mum Aroi’ restaurant was closed at approximately 4:20 PM because of flooding, while Sukhumvit Road remains clear and open for traffic.

Traffic is temporarily halted after 4 p.m. on routes such as the road from Wat Tham intersection towards Khao Talo due to high floodwaters, preventing vehicles from passing.

Pattaya authorities manage the chaotic traffic conditions by directing vehicles around flooded zones, especially near the Wat Tham intersection.
Key intersections, including Pattaya Third Road near Moom Aroi restaurant, are temporarily closed as high floodwaters render them impassable.

While several roads remain underwater, Sukhumvit Road remains unaffected, with normal traffic flow reported as of 4:20 p.m.

As for the current weather, scattered showers and overcast conditions are expected to persist throughout the evening in Pattaya, with a high chance of light rain in the early evening, tapering off into intermittent light showers later at night. Temperatures will hover around 80-85°F (27-29°C), with high humidity levels and light winds, making the area prone to further localized flooding due to the recent rainfall.
