SAMUT SONGKHRAM, Thailand – Discover the magical night! Are you interested in the Loy Krathong Festival in Thailand? If you are, we warmly invite you to join us at the Loy Krathong Kap Kluai Festival in Samut Songkhram!

Immerse yourself in the beauty of over 100,000 glowing Krathong Kap Kluai illuminating the Mae Klong River. Krathong Kap Kluai are crafted from the outside of the banana plant, with the ends trimmed and adorned with incense. The incense sticks are dipped in natural resin and dried in the sun three times to ensure they stay lit as they float, creating a mesmerizing display of sparkling lights across the river, like stars filling the Mae Klong’s expanse.

This festival will take place at Wat Phummarin Kudi Thong and King Rama II Memorial Park from 15 to 17 November 2024.

Wat Phummarin Kudi Thong will feature a range of activities, including traditional Thai cultural performances, a Nang Noppamas beauty contest, and more than 50 shops selling local goods.

At King Rama II Memorial Park, there will also be a range of activities, such as a traditional Thai dance contest, exhibitions on the Krathong Kap Kluai tradition, and a special dress-up theme where visitors are encouraged to wear sabai (breast cloth) with jeans.

The highlight at King Rama II Memorial Park is the 500-drone light show, forming illuminated patterns in the sky on November 16-17, with two shows each night at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. (PRD)
