PHUKET, Thailand – A transgender woman from Patong reported an assault by two Arab tourists after a verbal altercation escalated into physical violence. The incident occurred early in the morning of November 21, in front of a shop on Bangla Road.
According to the victim, 35-year-old Peerasak Waiyanon from Songkhla, and a friend were standing outside the Benz Massage shop when two Arab men approached them. One of the men asked if Peerasak was a transgender woman, to which she confirmed. The tourist then made an unpleasant facial expression and started filming her without permission, leading to a verbal dispute.
The situation quickly escalated when one of the men intervened to separate them, but a physical confrontation followed. The two parties began throwing plastic chairs at each other, causing Peerasak to suffer injuries to her head. The attackers then threw a bottle at the shop’s door, damaging it.
Peerasak immediately sought help and filed a police report at Patong Police Station. Authorities sent her to Patong Hospital for medical treatment, and they are now proceeding with legal action against the suspects.
