Round Square week at Regents International School Pattaya is one of the most looked-forward to dates on the calendar.

An organisation based on education philosopher Kurt Hahn’s teachings; Round Square is a worldwide network of over 100 schools in 40 countries and five continents. Regents counts as one of those lucky schools.

In Round Square week students select their activity from a range of trips to places as far flung as London, Indonesia (Bali), and Cambodia. There also trips to places in and around Thailand such as Krabi, Cave Lodge and Ban Maelid. Some students choose to remain in Pattaya where there is plenty to keep them busy with sailing, go karting, Muay Thai, diving and various community projects.

All of the activities are entered into with a fierce enthusiasm which is a cornerstone of the Round Square philosophy based on six pillars (or I.D.E.A.L.S): Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental awareness, Adventure, Leadership and Service to the community.

All of the secondary pupils involved reported back strongly at how much they had learnt and for those returning to school next year, Round Square week is only 365 days away!
