BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Highways, Nakhon Ratchasima 2 District, has opened the Motorway M6 connecting Bang Pa-in and Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as the Korat Motorway, for free use by private four-wheel vehicles. The route will remain toll-free until construction is fully completed, with specific conditions and limitations in place for motorists.
Free access is restricted to private four-wheel vehicles, and the speed limit is set at 80 kilometers per hour to ensure safety. Restroom facilities are available at kilometer marker 147 on both sides of the motorway, featuring 36 restrooms open 24 hours a day. However, other amenities, such as fuel stations, electric vehicle charging points, repair shops, and dining options, are not yet operational.
Motorists are advised to prepare their vehicles and supplies before using the motorway. Safety remains a priority, as the route is still under construction with incomplete sections, ongoing toll booth installations, and construction vehicles entering and exiting.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution and follow all traffic regulations while using the motorway. For additional information or to report emergencies, the Department of Highways Hotline 1586 is available 24 hours a day.
