Workplace safety week exhibition to kick off tomorrow

BANGKOK, 2 July 2015 – The Department of Labour Protectionand Welfare (DLPW) is inviting the public to visit the event held to promote workplace safety at BITEC Bangna this week.

According to DLPW Director General Peerapat Pornsiri, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak will be presiding over the opening ceremony of the 29th workplace safety week exhibition, which is to run from July 2nd – 4th.

The objective of this event is to promote workplace safety and the well-being of workers at work as well as to reduce the number of injuries. Awards will also be given to 551 companies with outstanding safety records.

Visitors will have a chance to attend a seminar on safety standards and look at the exhibition and booths displaying safety related innovations.
