AYUTTHAYA, Thailand – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, is experiencing renewed attention after Lisa Manoban, the globally renowned Thai artist, posted photos on Instagram wearing traditional Thai attire while visiting the ancient city during the New Year celebrations (January 2).
The Facebook page “AyutthayaStation” shared photos of Lisa, dressed in elegant Thai silk, strolling through historical landmarks and a traditional Thai house in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The post, featuring the caption “Lisa posted on IG! #WatMahathat #Ayutthaya,” quickly went viral.
Another page, “The Little Girl on the Cold Mountain,” revealed that Lisa’s outfit was crafted by the Thai silk boutique “Chan Ruean Na Kha,” owned by actress Deana Flipo, and was worn during her visit to a local temple for merit-making.
Lisa’s trip to Ayutthaya followed her headlining performance at the “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025” event at ICONSIAM. Her visit to the historic city, reminiscent of her previous trip in June 2023, where she toured landmarks like Wat Mahathat and Wat Na Phra Men, sparked a significant tourism boost, as fans flocked to follow in her footsteps.
Her recent visit is expected to further drive tourism in Ayutthaya as fans and visitors rush to experience the city’s charm and cultural heritage, just as Lisa did to welcome the Year of the Snake.
