Creative youth awards honor Thai cultural excellence

BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Culture Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol presided over the “Creative Youth for Thai Culture” award ceremony at Government House, celebrating 118 young individuals’ contributions to religion, art, and culture. Hosted as part of National Children’s Day celebrations, the event honored children and youths who have demonstrated creativity, dedication to public service, and a commitment to preserving Thai cultural heritage. Senior officials, including Permanent Secretary for Culture Prasop Riangngoen, joined families and other guests in attendance.

The awards recognized 77 recipients from the Cultural Excellence program and 41 from the Young Smart: Young Doing Good awards. These programs celebrated children and youths aged 8–18 who have excelled in promoting Thai culture, engaging in community service, and showcasing creative achievements that inspire others.



The ceremony provided a platform to acknowledge young individuals as role models who contribute to the preservation and advancement of Thai traditions, cultivating a sense of pride in cultural heritage among future generations.

Minister Sudawan described the event as a valuable opportunity for children and youths to immerse themselves in Thai culture and history. She noted that such engagement helps deepen appreciation for Thai traditions, inspiring young participants to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s cultural legacy. (NNT)
