South Pattaya Road adopts alternating no-parking days to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor Poramet Ngampichet has announced new policies to designate South Pattaya Road as a regulated parking area to alleviate ongoing traffic congestion.

Currently, heavy traffic on South Pattaya Road has caused persistent issues. To address this, Chonburi traffic authorities have issued a regulation prohibiting parking on alternating even and odd days between Wat Chai Mongkhol Intersection and Suesan Intersection (Third Road). The no-parking hours are set from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Violators will face wheel clamping, vehicle immobilization, or relocation if the parked vehicle poses a danger or potential accident risk.

These measures will take effect starting February 1, under the authority of Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 18 of Pattaya City’s Parking Ordinance B.E. 2567 (2024) and the Local Administrative Parking Management Act B.E. 2562 (2019).
