A Swiss English teacher called for help from Pattaya officials after his cat climbed a three-story tree, but couldn’t get down.
Peter Mercsinger, a 71-year-old instructor at a Bangkok university, was waiting next to a tall palm tree when officials arrived at his Soi Chalermprakiet 10/1 home June 27.
It seems his 3-year-old, black and white female feline was chased by a dog. Up it climbed but after reaching the top of the towering tree, the kitty realized it couldn’t get down.

Workers first climbed up and used a stick to prod the pussy from its perch, but the cat was having none of it. Finally the Engineering Department was called to bring it is basket truck.
The cat was brought down safely, but seemed unappreciative. The kitty took off as soon as its paws hit the ground.
