Don Mueang Airport faces check-in system failure, flights delayed.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Don Mueang Airport has clarified that a malfunction in the Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) caused delays in check-in services and some flight departures. The issue, which occurred at 1:00 AM on January 25, was a result of an incomplete internal system update. This disruption led to delays for several morning flights.

Dr. Kerati Kijmanawat, CEO of Airports of Thailand (AOT), and Mr. Wijit Kaewtraithiem, Director of Don Mueang Airport, explained that the affected system malfunctioned, preventing check-in and KIOSK services from functioning properly. However, the responsible company has been working on-site to fix the issue, and the system returned to normal operations by noon on Saturday.

No passengers missed their flights, although some flights were delayed. AOT staff have been assisting affected passengers by providing water, additional waiting areas, and opening extra check-in counters for impacted airlines. (TNA)
