The USS Carl Vinson, one of the largest U.S. aircraft carriers, has arrived in Chonburi for a scheduled visit, enhancing defense relations between Thailand and the United States.

CHOBURI, Thailand – The USS Carl Vinson, one of the world’s largest aircraft carriers, has docked at Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi province for a scheduled visit from January 27 to 31. The Nimitz-class vessel, carrying more than 5,400 crew members, represents the strong defense cooperation between Thailand and the United States.

During the five-day visit, the crew will have the opportunity for rest and recreation, engage in cultural exchanges, and enjoy time ashore. The visit serves as both a break from naval duties and a chance to strengthen ties between the two nations.



Comprehensive security and traffic management plans have been implemented to ensure smooth operations and public safety throughout the visit. Local police stations, in collaboration with the Sattahip Naval Base, have coordinated with administrative offices and private operators in Pattaya and surrounding areas to maintain order and safety during the ship’s stay.
