BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra confirmed that China has sent an Assistant Minister of National Security to collaborate in resolving the issue of cross-border call center scams operating along the Thai-Myanmar border. The Prime Minister stated that coordination will continue, with the Ministry of Justice also involved in the process of repatriating a major online gambling figure.
The Prime Minister further addressed the question of whether China had formally requested the extradition of the online gambling suspect. She acknowledged that the Ministry of Justice had already reported on the matter, and emphasized that the process is currently underway.
Additionally, the Prime Minister confirmed that five Thai hostages held by Hamas had been released. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide further details on the situation.
