BANGKOK, 10 July 2015 – The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) committee on agriculture and cooperatives has visited Petchaburi Province in order to gather useful feedback for reform.

The committee was greeted by the governor of Petchaburi Province, who gave an overview of the overall state of the province’s economy, and the head of Petchaburi Province’s agriculture and cooperatives group, who delivered a speech on the province’s agricultural matters.

The NLA committee gathered that the province still lacked adequate agricultural unions and cooperatives compared with the other 45 credit unions nationwide.

The committee then proceeded to visit the various cooperatives in the province to observe their management.
