PATTAYA, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department reports that upper Thailand continues to experience cool to cold weather. Residents are advised to take care of their health due to the low temperatures. Meanwhile, Bangkok and surrounding areas will remain chilly in the morning.
Over the next 24 hours, a weakening high-pressure system or cold air mass continues to cover upper Thailand, while westerly winds in the upper levels also affect the region. These conditions will keep temperatures cool to cold. Residents are urged to stay warm and be cautious of fire hazards due to dry weather.
The northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the southern region is weakening, leading to calmer seas. In the lower Gulf of Thailand, waves are about 2 meters high, with higher waves in areas with thunderstorms.
The upper Gulf of Thailand will see waves between 1-2 meters, with stormy areas experiencing waves above 2 meters. People along the eastern coast of southern Thailand should beware of strong waves, while sailors in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea should exercise caution and avoid stormy areas.
Air Quality Update
Dust and haze accumulation in upper Thailand remains moderate to good, as moderate winds help improve air circulation.
Bangkok Weather Forecast – Morning chill, Lowest temperature: 18-21°C, Highest temperature: 30-31°C.
