Thailand and China sign AI cooperation agreement

As Thailand and China deepen their cooperation in the digital era, this agreement reflects a shared commitment to technological progress and stronger bilateral relations.

BANGKOK, Thailand – At the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Prasert Chanthararuangthong signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Liu Shuhe, Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.



The agreement is part of 13 bilateral cooperation initiatives established during the Thai Prime Minister’s official visit to China. It focuses on advancing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve mutual understanding and trust, particularly in tourist safety. The collaboration will also promote education and technological skill development, ensuring that both nations benefit from advancements in digital innovation.
