ROI ET, Thailand – Celebrity chef Somboon Vannavong, known as “Chef Kra Tha Harng,” has visited Roi Et Vocational College to share his culinary expertise with students. Welcomed by the college’s director, administrators, and faculty, the event provided aspiring chefs with practical learning experiences and insights into the modern food industry. The session featured live cooking demonstrations, career guidance, and lessons on digital content creation.
Chef Somboon engaged students with his signature cooking style, preparing three classic Thai dishes—stir-fried basil pork, Thai-style omelet, and fried rice. These dishes, known for their simplicity and rich flavors, are widely enjoyed both in Thailand and internationally. The demonstration allowed students to observe professional techniques up close while creating an interactive and engaging atmosphere.
Somboon also discussed career opportunities in hospitality and food service, covering roles in restaurants, hotels, and culinary entrepreneurship, providing students with a more in-depth understanding of the skills needed to succeed in professional kitchens and food businesses.
