BANGKOK, Thailand – The air quality in Bangkok is expected to reach orange-level PM2.5 pollution from February 13-16, prompting health precautions for residents and visitors.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has issued guidelines to help minimize health risks. Residents are advised to wear protective masks when outdoors, avoid outdoor activities, and refrain from traveling to Bangkok unless necessary.



Health-sensitive groups, including those with respiratory conditions, are urged to consult a doctor if they experience symptoms such as coughing, breathing difficulties, chest tightness, or eye irritation.

To stay updated, residents can check real-time air quality levels via the AirBKK app. Reports of black smoke-emitting vehicles and open burning can be submitted through the @TraffyFondue platform.


The latest air quality measurements in Bangkok from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM on February 12, 2025, show PM2.5 levels ranging from 34.1 to 69.8 µg/m³, with an average of 49.6 µg/m³.

Pollution levels are increasing and have exceeded the safety standard, reaching the orange level 🟠, indicating potential health impacts in 67 areas.

As of 7:00 AM on February 12, PM2.5 levels remain on an upward trend compared to the same time yesterday. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions.
